After our 2007 renovation, we have now a total of 11 units and a small sundeck on the second floor.

Room Amenities

Apart from different bed arrangements, each of our rooms has the following amenities:

• window air-conditioner with remote control	• a ceiling or a tower fan
• private bathroom with hot shower	• linens & bath towels
• shampoo and shower gel in a dispenser	• closet with louver doors
• chest of drawers or shelves in the closet	• at least one window looking to street or to patio
• cable television	• alarm clock radio

• Daily maid service is included. (Some may not realize that when coming back from the beach, sand gets everywhere. Your vacation will most likely be much more enjoyable if someone else takes care of the cleaning, especially for a long stay.)

Jr. Suite

If you enjoy space and like to lounge around inside your room, the Jr. suite is the perfect choice. It has the same size as any chain hotel room with living space. It has a sofa which can also be converted to a Full-size bed. It has a coffee table and a mini-kitchenette (a micro-wave oven, a coffee maker, a toaster, a mini-bar fridge, and utensils but no stove). So you can prepare simple breakfast, sandwiches and warm up food.

Studios

The two studios have full kitchens. They are perfect for families or travelers who need to prepare meals during their stay. The small studio is a little bit bigger than the standard rooms. The large studio is about the same size as regular rooms in chain hotels. Both studios have large fridges that can hold more groceries. They also have tables with chairs so that you could enjoy your meals comfortably. Or bring your food to our patio or deck, al fresco!

Standard Rooms

Our standard rooms are small compared to north-american standards but they are very efficient. The rooms are well-suited for short stay or for travelers who are on a budget. They also include a small desk & a chair.

Deluxe Rooms

Deluxe rooms are slightly larger than standard rooms and have mini-kitchenettes (micro-wave oven, coffee maker, toaster, mini-bar fridge, and utensils but no stove) that add convenience to short or extended vacations.

 

Single Room

We have 1 single room and has a comfortable Full-size bed. Normally it's perfect for one person but if you and your friend are on a tight budget, it could be a plausible solution. However for double occupancy, we wouldn't recommend for staying longer than 3 nights.

 

Guest House Amenities

Being our guests, you could also enjoy free access to the following amenities (limited availabilities):

• hair-blow dryer (borrow from office)	• iron & board (borrow from office)
• beach towels (replace as frequent as you wish)	• beach chairs, umbrellas & coolers
• boogie boards & frisbee	• dvd player & movies (at small fee)

 

Jacuzzi

The jacuzzi hours are from 5 pm - 9 pm. It is at our patio and is al fresco. It is heated during high season. The water usually gets warm around 6:30 pm. So if you like it warmer, come at that time and enjoy the moon and the stars with your friends or families. The jacuzzi is open to all our guests so it's not private for individuals. However around dinner hours, you may be able to have it all by yourself as other guests will most likely be dinning out.

Ice Machine

This is another easily overlooked detail which is very important. It's hot here year round and it's great to have access to ice 24/7. Also you could fill the cooler with ice and your beverages, and ready to hit the beach.

 

2nd Floor Sundeck

Come bring your favorite book and stretch out... The sundeck is perfect if you want to lounge around and have a relaxing day.

 

Internet Center & WIFI

This is another plus if you would like to keep in touch with your friends and family back home during your visit. Or if you would like to bring along your laptop and iphones, we have WIFI signal throught the guest house. However, the signal strength depends on the location of the room you are staying in. So the best bet is to take a seat in the common area where the signal is the strongest.

 

 

Room Rates

Here are our room rates and the terms as follows:

• Rates are based on 1 - 2 people occupancy in each room + 7% room tax. Additional persons will be charged extra. No other hidden fees. (Double occupancy in Single Room is the the higher rate listed above.)

• For advance reservations, normally 3 nights minimum for holidays and weekends (Thur - Sun). However please inquire us because sometimes we may have availability in-between reservations.

• If you are comparing our rates against other properties, you may want to double-check if they have undisclosed charges at check-out. At the time of booking, most online travel web sites only charge you the base rate which excludes expenses such as 10 - 20% resort fee, $5 energy charges per person or 10% service charge which are due and disclosed at the moment of check-out. So do ask questions about these hidden fees and add it up to the base rate when comparing prices.

• During holidays, high and prime seasons, lots of travelers from northern countries want to escape the cold and enjoy the hot weather here. So if you are on a budget, you may want to come in early December or May to take advantage of the low season rates.

 

Booking Tips & Expectations

• We are a small guest house and we are neither a 5-star hotel nor boutique inn. If you have never stayed in a guest house before, you may want to re-consider your options. However we do try to maintain our guest house clean and cozy. In addition, we also try to help our guests so that they would experience San Juan & Puerto Rico in a more personal & authentic way.

• Our guest house is best-suited for active explorers and beach-goers who enjoy exploring foreign culture and foods, and at the same time like the idea of having quick access to a nice beach.

• You may have been recommended by other travelers who had enjoyed their stay with us. However, we would like to remind you that individual expectations & experiences vary. Most of our guests enjoyed their stay with us. Many of them have returned. A handful has become our friends. Others planned their wedding in San Juan and had us accommodated their families & friends.

• If you are booking on behalf of a group, we highly recommend you urging your friends to visit our web site so that they know what they are booking and to avoid differences in expectations.

• It's always a good idea to let us know your special needs before making a reservation. We will try to guide you to the right room for your stay, or to decide if Andalucia is right for you at all.
